Kick-off event of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg
ON DECEMBER 02 AT THE EXPERIMENTAL FACTORY MAGDEBURG
The new Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg with the participation of the chairs of Software Engineering (Prof. Frank Ortmeier), Data and Knowledge Engineering (Prof. Andreas Nürnberger) and Business Informatics I (Prof. Klaus Turowski) of the Faculty of Computer Science invites you to the official kick-off event on December 2, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Experimental Factory at Sandtorstraße 23 in Magdeburg. The event will open at 13:00 with a digital scavenger hunt. Participants will be taken on an interactive tour through Magdeburg's Port of Science.
The 5.5 million euro project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection is celebrating the new funding phase, which officially started on August 1. The Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg is headed by Dr. Stefan Voigt and his deputy Robert Kummer. The live event will begin after the digital scavenger hunt at the Experimental Factory Magdeburg. For the interactive scavenger hunt, interested parties download the "Actionbound" app onto their mobile operating system. After opening the app, the first clues for the digital tour in the Port of Science have to be found. Dr. Anna Christmann, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Start-Ups at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (inquired), will open the live event at the Experimental Factory with a welcoming address at 15:00.
After a welcome address by Stephanie Pötsch, State Secretary for Economy and Tourism at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt, Dr. Stefan Voigt will introduce the new center. In a subsequent panel discussion, free offers from the center's portfolio will be presented. In the "Start-up vs. company succession" format, companies will then face each other and discuss the challenges and potential of both start-up paths. Making mistakes and failure are still considered taboo topics. In the second format, "Fuck-up", the aim is not only to establish a new, positive culture of failure, but also to understand failure as progress. Dr. Stefan Voigt will then present the new focal points of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum.
The rest of the evening will be dedicated to networking and exchange. Guests are invited to get to know the thematic offerings of the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg.
